ChatGPT in Russian: how to use it for free and what to hand over to it in your business
ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chat made by OpenAI. You describe a task in plain words, and it answers: it writes text, explains, translates and suggests ideas. It understands Russian and replies in Russian.
In Kazakhstan, people search Google for «Чат гпт» ("chat gpt") about 1.8 million times a month, «chatgpt на русском» ("chatgpt in Russian") about 2,400 times, and «чат гпт бесплатно» ("chat gpt free") about 1,300 times (Google Ads data, October 2026). Let's look at how to get started and how to use it for work, not just out of curiosity.
How to start for free
- Open chatgpt.com or download the ChatGPT app for iPhone or Android.
- Sign up with your email or your Google account.
- Type your task in the box at the bottom, in Russian, the way you would write it to a person.
The free version is enough for most simple tasks. A paid subscription removes some of the limits and gives you more features.
How to give it a task so the answer is useful
The more precise the task, the better the answer. A good task answers four questions:
| What | Example |
|---|---|
| Who you are | "I own a company that sells rolled metal in Astana" |
| What you need | "Write a reply to a customer who is asking about delivery" |
| Important details | delivery terms, timeframes, payment: your own, as they are |
| What kind of answer you want | "Short, polite, 3–4 sentences, no emojis" |
If the answer doesn't work for you, don't start over. Refine it instead: "shorter", "simpler", "in Kazakh", "add a starting price".
What to hand over to ChatGPT in your business
- Texts: product descriptions, posts, answers to customers' common questions.
- Video ideas: what to film for Reels and what to say in the first few seconds.
- Sales proposals: a draft based on your prices and terms, which you then check.
- Translation: from Russian into Kazakh and English and back.
- Going through documents: a short summary of a contract or a long email.
- Spreadsheets: suggesting a formula in Excel or Google Sheets.
What it's better not to hand over
- Customers' personal data: phone numbers, IINs, addresses.
- Prices and calculations without checking: AI can get numbers wrong, so work out the final figures yourself or in a program.
- Final decisions on contracts, taxes and money: use it only for a draft that you then check.
When a chat isn't enough
ChatGPT in a browser helps one person. When you need AI to work inside your company, answering customers in WhatsApp, entering leads into your CRM and preparing documents, it gets connected to your systems. That's what we do in AI implementation for business. One example is our AI assistant makeden.app at the Mir Matrasov factory: in its first month, it handled more than 500 requests in WhatsApp.
AI assistant on WhatsApp
makeden.app answers customers instead of a manager: it collects the request and hands it over ready to go.
- Asks for the name, mattress size and firmness
- Checks the city, address and delivery
- Passes the ready request to a manager — day and night
makeden.app data: the assistant has been running for about a month, October 2026.
