Google Ads in Kazakhstan: what a click costs and how to start
In Kazakhstan, people search for «Google Ads» 6,600 times a month (Google Ads data, October 2026). It's advertising that is shown to people when they are already looking for your product or service. Let's see what it costs and how to start without wasting money.
How it works
- A person types into Google: «пластиковые окна алматы» ("PVC windows Almaty").
- Ads from companies appear above the regular results.
- You pay only when the person clicks on your ad.
The cost per click is set in an auction: the more companies want to show up for a search, the more expensive the click.
What a click costs: real numbers for Almaty
This is Google's own estimate of how much advertisers pay to be shown at the top of the page. Almaty, October 2026:
| Search query | Searches per month | Cost per click |
|---|---|---|
As you can see, the cost per click differs several times over from one niche to another. That's why there is no general answer to "how much does Google Ads cost" — you need to look at your niche and your city.
What a lead cost in our campaigns
A click is not a lead yet. What matters more is the cost of a conversion: a call, a request or a tap on the WhatsApp button on the website. Numbers from our campaigns:
| Niche | Conversions | Cost per conversion |
|---|---|---|
| Orthopedic mattresses, Almaty | 2,869 | $0.53 |
| Mattresses | 1,137 | $0.21 |
| Street furniture for cities and companies | 1,497 | $6.72 |
The last row is selling to businesses (B2B): each lead costs more there, but the deals are bigger too. For this client, we connected the ads to amoCRM, so we see not only leads but also deals.
How to start: 5 steps
- Check demand. Find out how many people search for your product in your city. You can see this for free in our tool «Проверь спрос» ("Check demand"): makeden.kz/spros.
- Prepare a page. The ad should lead to a page with prices, answers to questions and a WhatsApp button, not just to your home page.
- Set up lead tracking. Google needs to see which clicks ended in a call or a request — otherwise it won't learn to bring you the right people.
- Run a test for 2–4 weeks. That's enough to see the real cost per lead in your niche.
- Add negative keywords. Exclude searches like «бесплатно» ("free"), «своими руками» ("DIY") and «вакансия» ("job vacancy") if you don't need them.
Common mistakes
- The ad leads to the home page, which doesn't answer what the person searched for.
- Lead tracking isn't set up, so it's unclear what works.
- No negative keywords, so the budget goes on random clicks.
- The ads look just like the competitors': the same words, no prices, no advantages.
Frequently asked questions
Work it out from your goal: multiply the number of leads you need by the expected cost per lead in your niche. The numbers above will help you get a rough idea.
Google is for people who are already searching for your product. Instagram and TikTok are for showing your product to people who aren't searching yet but might want it. They often work best together.
For Google Ads you need a page, because the ad leads to it. For Instagram ads with a WhatsApp button, a website is not required.
