WhatsApp Web: how to open WhatsApp on a computer and handle sales
WhatsApp Web is the computer version of WhatsApp that opens right in your browser at web.whatsapp.com. The chats are the same as on your phone, but typing is faster, and sending photos and files from a computer is more convenient.
«Ватсап веб» ("WhatsApp Web") is one of the most common searches in Kazakhstan: about 7.5 million Google searches a month, plus about 823,000 more for «whatsapp web» (Google Ads data, October 2026). Let's look at how to log in, what to do if it doesn't work, and how to handle sales from a computer.
How to log in to WhatsApp Web
- Open web.whatsapp.com in a browser on your computer.
- On your phone, open WhatsApp → Settings → Linked devices → Link a device.
- Point your phone's camera at the QR code on the computer screen.
Done: your chats will appear on the computer. Instead of the QR code, you can log in with your phone number: on the login page, choose to log in with a phone number and enter the code shown on the computer into your phone.
There is also a WhatsApp app for Windows and Mac. It works the same way, only it opens in its own window, without a browser.
If WhatsApp Web doesn't work

How to handle sales from a computer
Replying to customers from a computer is faster: your price list, photos and invoices are at hand, and typing is easier. To make sure nothing gets lost:
- Switch your number to WhatsApp Business. The company profile, catalog, quick replies with "/" and labels all work in WhatsApp Web too.
- Connect your managers. One number can be open on several linked devices, for example on the computers of two managers.
- Use labels. "New", "Thinking", "Paid": you can see right away whom to follow up with.
- Reply fast. The faster you reply, the better the chance the person buys from you and not from the business next door.
Where to get more messages
